In 1942, the Japanese invaded two remote Alaskan Islands. The weather was harsh and the US struggled to find a way to take back the islands. So they enlisted the help of local indigenous men, fisherman, dogsledders, miners, prospectors, and more to gather intel on the Japanese and help retake the land. The Japanese were terrified of these Alaskan Scouts, and in this video we will talk about why.
