The Sanssouci (French for no worries) complex (approx. 290 hectares) is located in the north-west of Potsdam. It was founded in the eighteenth century by the King of Prussia, Frederick II the Great. Fryderyk rebuilt the baroque palace erected here in 1669. He entrusted the project to Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, who gave the residence a new rococo style. In half.
