Dads, NEVER Miss a Chance to Bond With Your Kids #shorts

Our Aunt has a tree fall across her driveway after a storm, so at a minimum we need to chop it up and clear the road. In addition to simply getting the work done, my nephew and friend's son got involved. We even had our daughter help pick up some of the sticks at the end for a burn pile.

The point is, take advantage of opportunities like this to work alongside your kids. Safely monitor their behavior and allow them to take ownership of age appropriate tasks (every kid will be different). This is a beautiful way to not only teach them skills but to bond with them. You can strengthen your relationship with them and also help them feel accomplished and capable. You will instill a mentality in them of "I CAN" versus "I don't think I can". Confidence vs. doubt.

I was able to capture my friend teaching his son how to use a small electric chainsaw to cut up some of the smaller pieces of the branches. This was a beautiful father and son moment and really highlights the point of this video.

The boys were also so excited about splitting the wood with axes. Little moments like these help a young boy grow into manhood. Take advantage of opportunities like this dads!
