Rep. Ocasio-Cortez posts video to TikTok protesting potential US ban of the app

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) posted a video to TikTok announcing she’s against the congressional campaign to ban the Chinese social media app. “…I think a lot of this is putting the cart before the horse, because our first priority should be in protecting your ability to exist without social media companies harvesting and commodifying every single piece of data about you, without you and without your consent,” said Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.
