1-Medial Head: Medial Condyle of the Femur
2-Lateral Head: Lateral Condyle of the Femur
Insertion:
Calcaneus via Calcaneal (Achilles) Tendon
Functions:
1-Plantar Flexion of the Foot @ the Ankle Joint
2-Flexion of the Leg @ the Knee Joint
Nerve:
Tibial Nerve
Activation: (Prone) Plantar Flexion of the Foot (Knee is Extended)
Lengthening: (Prone) Dorsiflexion of the Foot
