Day 9/21 John Chapter 9

Three Key points of Chapter 9

1) Healing of the man born blind: Jesus encounters a man who was born blind and proceeds to heal him by spitting on the ground, making mud with saliva, and putting the mud on the man's eyes. The man washes his eyes in the pool of Siloam and is able to see for the first time in his life.

2) Controversy and questioning: The healing of the blind man causes controversy among the Pharisees, who question the man and his parents about the healing. They also question Jesus' authority and accuse him of violating the Sabbath by performing the healing on that day.

3)Spiritual blindness and belief: The healing of the blind man is not only a physical miracle, but also a symbol of spiritual healing and belief. The man's physical blindness is cured, but the Pharisees remain spiritually blind to Jesus' true identity as the Son of God. The blind man, on the other hand, comes to believe in Jesus and worships him as Lord.
