The Stump of Dagon

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
The Philistines placed the Ark in the House of Dagon. Pagans usually have no problems with serving more than one god and will invite in gods from other nations. That is true today. Many professing Christians will worship the LORD Jesus Christ on Sunday, and the rest of the week they bow to the altar of Television, the gods of the sporting events, and many other idols. And those professing Christians believe that the LORD is okay with their worship of the movie screen as long as they are worshiping God on Sunday. Like the Philistines, they place Jesus Christ alongside Dagon and one day, they will learn their folly as the Philistines did.
