Swatting / Fake Active Shooter Calls.

Recently the state of Iowa had a spam active shooter call to multiple school. Colby's children attend one of those schools. He received no calls from the school or authorities about this, during or even after the event. Real or not, do you think the school should contact parents during something like this?
