New CDC Data Shows U.S. Maternal Mortality Rose Sharply in 2021

The number of women who have died while giving birth has risen 65% since 2019 and is at  it’s highest rate since 1965. 

2018: 658
2019: 754
2020: 861
2021: 1,205
