Springfield M1A (NY Pattern) - 2023 Cabin Fever Challenge - Division 1 Vintage Autoloading

My final entry for the 2023 Cabin Fever Challenge. This is the entry for Division 3 - Vintage Autoloading. No headcam on this one, I was pressed for time. Had great difficulty acquiring the target, my sights were picking up an insane level of glare!

The rifle:
A Springfield Armory M1A (7.62x51mm NATO) with no modifications other than those required for the NY-Legal pattern rifles. This consists of a Mk.14 gas block and front sight, deletion of muzzle devices/bayonet lug, 10 rnd box mags.
Including this run, I have a total of 43 rounds through this gun. So I am not well practiced with it...though I have an abundance of experience with the M1-family platforms. This is a sweet rig, and I look forward to getting enough rounds through it to do a review!

The run:
Fair. I had extreme difficulty acquiring the target. The rear aperture on these are finer than I like, and picked up a TON on sun glare. At one point I couldn't even see through the aperture!
I refuse to spend money on 10-rnd spare mags, so am running charger clips instead. These work very well despite the stiff mag springs, but are no substitute for spare mags under pressure.
