Why it’s important to have 1000 lb cattle in March mud month. With the lighter weight 1000 lb cows and hitting March mud month, our pastures are not destroyed as long as we keep moving them onto new pasture. It takes observation and predicting areas that you may muck up if it rains heavily that day. Just make sure that you do not have narrow confined areas that they can get bunched up in. This tight cow mob bunching can turn a pasture into mud quite quickly if you don't move them. If you want to keep your farm profitable every year, check out my 3 grazing books that I wrote on our website: http://greenpasturesfarm.net/books/
