A rather interesting thing about Moldova the country, it has similarities with Romania because originally Moldova was a larger medieval country that ultimately united with Romania. The current Moldova was formed by the Russian Empire when they conquered the current Moldova and called it Basarabia. The Moldavian language doesnt exist, just as for example in Austria they speak German albeit specific to the area. The language in Moldova is Romanian. Of course Russians want to push for false narratives and languages, because Moldavian language to them is actually Russian with some romanian words thrown here and there to make it seem that its not Russian. In Moldova and in Romania at history everyone learns the history of the Moldovian kingdom which was like we have said larger and incoporating current Moldova (and some parts from Ukraine) so this is another common point. The Moldovian flag also has the Moldovian kingdom ox which was the battle flag against the Ottoman Empire.
