Technique of the week
This week we covered a lot.
Combinations below are for those who have missed class or are just tuning in for the sessions.
Defense: cover, parry, slip
Combinations:
-1, slip, 2, 3, 4 pressing forward
-Parry, 5, 2 switch kick
-2, 3, 2 cover, teep, switch round kick
The best way to practice this is with a partner or shadow boxing if you have experience. Each strike has its deliberate purpose for being thrown; be intentional with your strikes.
If you do not have someone to drill with, practice the following drills on the bag:
(Jab, cross, lead hook, rear hook, rear round kick.) 1, 2, 3, 4 round kick
(Lead uppercut, cross, rear kick) 5, 2 switch kick
(Cross, hook, cross, lead leg front kick, switch kick) 2,3,2 teep, switch kick
