Before Kyler Murray would be drafted first overall to the Arizona Cardnials in the NFL 2019 Draft making him the first ever athlete to be a first round draft pick in both professional football and baseball.
Just last year Kyler Murray had already secured the bag as the 9th pick in the 2018 MLB draft going to the Oakland Athletics with a signing bonus of $4.6 Million dollars. Most people would chalk that up as the ultimate W but Kyler had always been a man of two sports, much like his old man Kevin Murray who faced the same tough decision a few decades earlier. Murray's high school career is one of the greatest in Texas football history and became the first athlete ever to be selected for both the Under Armour All-America Baseball and Football games.
