33rd in our series the Prophet Zephaniah

I. Christians are often treated like dirt -  1 Corinthians 4:9-13
* Jesus never promised an easy road when we follow Him
* He told us to take up our cross daily and follow Him - Luke 9:23
* Just as Christ first had to bear the cross before
* He could then wear the crown - so too for His disciples

II. I will Appoint you for Praise - Zephaniah 3:19-20
* For Israel this was in part fulfilled with the return from exile that was lead by Ezra and Nehemiah
* In the lands of their exile were where they had been put to shame they were to be greatly honored
* Above all in those very lands they would become honored because the birth and life of the Messiah
* The Magi from the East - Matthew 2:1-2
* The Greeks - John 12:20-21
* For the saints there will come a day of Praise
* When cursed by man we know that God will have the last word - Matthew 5:10-12
* And most importantly will be praise from our Lord and Savior for serving Him well in this life - Matthew 25:21

III. I will Appoint you for Fame - Zephaniah 3:19-20
* For the children of Israel, their greatest fame was that Jesus, fully man, fully God lived and ministered among them
* For true disciples of Jesus Christ our fame is still future
* The nations shall come and bow before the saints - Isaiah 60:14
* The saints shall reign on earth - Revelation 5:10
* The Millennial Kingdom Revelation
