The EASIEST homemade butter recipe 👇

You literally only need 1 ingredient!

Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions:
*I use a @kitchenaidusa stand mixer with a whisk attachment, however, you can use a hand mixer or if your just really looking for an arm workout shake it in a jar 💪

1) Pour heavy whipping cream into bowl and set mixer to highest speed you can without liquid flying out of your bowl.
2) The HWC will begin to thicken and turn into whipped cream within a few minutes, while it's tempting to stop here, for butter you've got to continue.
3) As you continue whisking your now whipped cream it will start to form curds and begin to separate into butter and buttermilk.
4) As you begin to hear more "sloshing" than whipping slow down your mixer until the whisk has picked up majority of the butter.
5) Strain your buttermilk into a jar (you can drink it, use it for cooking/baking, etc...buttermilk pie, anyone? 🤤)
6) Collect all of the butter and place in an ice bath for about 10-15 minutes.
7) Wash your butter in cool water and stain any excess liquid off, I like to use a cheese cloth for this.
8) Once you've rinsed the butter you can add any herbs, spices, flavors or leave it as is. I personally like to add a pinch of salt and some honey. Form it into any dish you like.

Butter will keep for about 2 days at room temp and up to 2 weeks refrigerated.
