Tom Thomson: Artist Woodsman । Sublime Perils of Nature

The mystery of Thomson’s untimely death, woodsman skills, and staggering artistic output and talent- the legacy of Tom Thomson has left an indelible mark on Canadian culture for generations. Thomson was an outdoorsman, fishing guide, and renowned Canadian artist who produced a staggering body of over 500 works of art in just five years. He spent much of his time living and working in the wilderness, often alone from 1912-1917 and his experiences in the wilds of northern Ontario informed much of his artistic vision.
