During a speech to commemorate Women's History Month

, President Joe Biden made an error about gun safety that was so significant that the White House had to make a correction to the official record of the event.

While discussing his accomplishments as president, Biden misspoke and claimed that he had "

kept guns out of the hands of homegrown political counselors.

" The correct statement was that his administration had tried to "keep guns out of the hands of convicted domestic abusers."

The White House corrected the error in the official record, but this is not the first time that the administration has had to address Biden's mistakes.

In the past, he has mispronounced the names of rivers and made other errors during speeches.

Other members of the administration, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre,

have also made mistakes during speeches and briefings.

While some of these errors may be embarrassing, others may have more serious consequences.
