You do not have to be bound by sin. Because Jesus overcame death, and therefore sin, we don't have to be controlled by the power of sin in either death, or life.

You can live an overcoming life through the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die again; death no longer has mastery over him. For the death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God.
