i met the man in 1971 as he stopped to let me cross at the zebra crossing. i saw this red stingray and wanted to smirk jealously at the driver only to spot , "omg, that's JEFF BECK". i ran to his side , "Are you Jeff Beck?" the cars behind tooted furiously, and Jeff said, "let me park". jEFF CHATTED WITH ME FOR ABOUT 30 MINS. at the end i told him, "I can't believe i just chatted with the world's greatest rock guitarists". Jeff blushed, " Cor, I am just like any ordinary bloke here in London". Ya, some bloke. the man 's modesty is only exceeded by his greatness. and the rest they say is history. or more so, my story. oh, yes, i later released my first indie recording "zbraxing". in tribute to meeting Jeff at the zebra crossing in Westbourne Terrace , Paddington.
