Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed a bill Thursday banning specific types of gender-affirming treatment for minors. The legislation will bar licensed medical professionals from providing adolescents with hormone replacement therapy or gender transition surgery. The bill will go into effect on July 1, 2023.
