Spoiler alert: Eddie gives Dustin a mission. Dustin crying his heart out - Stranger Things 4 Part 2

The legacy of Eddie Munson. Eddie Munson considered himself a shepherd: someone who took care of people who were a little lost, the outcasts in society. So that’s why he made the decision to sacrifice himself, because he was a protector at heart. He did it for the people around him that needed him. In Part 1 of ST4, episode 1, Eddie tells Mike and Dustin that he saw them when they were little lost sheep, and that Mike and Dustin also should find other lost sheep and help them. So in Eddie’s final moments, he made Dustin promise to take over that task, to watch the little sheep, giving him a mission. Dustin cries his heart out. He later let Eddie’s father know that he was an amazing person, a hero that died for the sake of protecting the people in Hawkins, even though he was banished and hated by them. Dustin crying so hard, very sad!
