This is little bear - swimmers syndrome

Little bear was at one of our local high kill shelters here in the Rio Grande Valley. He had hrs to live until our rescue tagged him. Once we picked him up work started. We rehabilitated him and worked with him to reshape his chest and helped him gain muscle in his arms in order to stand and walk. Swimmer’s syndrome made him look like a bear carpet - flat.
All of our hard work paid off and he is now living in Canada with his loving family where he runs through snow and has a warm home to go too.

Sad he was on the euthanizing list. But we were able to help.
