"Bawa" is a traditional dance piece of the Dagarthi people of Lobi, Ghana. It celebrates the harvest, ancestors, and gods which is featured in many of the dance movements. The lead part is not traditionally played on Sogo, but more commonly played on Kroboto. Though, this piece was originally played on Calabash and adapted to the Ewe drums. There is also a Gil (african marimba) part that accompanies Bawa.
