In his nearly 40-year career, Nicolas Cage has done a whole lot ON the camera. For instance, he once ate a live cockroach. He was also once set to star as a mullet-enhanced Superman in the Tim Burton film “Superman Lives” – a movie that, unfortunately, did the exact opposite of what its title implied, dying an inglorious end in pre-production. Nicolas Cage even once married Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie – the very same woman that Michael Jackson had shared a marital bead with. Look, what I’m trying to say is simple. Nicolas Cage is weird, and fans of his work – like me – wouldn’t have it any other way. I mean, the man was a Meme before memes were even a thing. But besides being the living embodiment of entertainment personified, at one point in his illustrious career, Nicolas Cage was also something of a land baron. He’s bought – and lost – enough residential real estate to give any full-time real estate investor a run for their money. For the majority of the ’90s and the 2000s, Nic was buying up property like it was going out of fashion, purchasing tens of millions of dollars’ worth of homes, from California to the Bahamas.
