Jennifer Hudson is an American recording artist and actress who rose to fame due to her immense success on the hit television reality series: “American Idol”. Growing up in Chicago, Jennifer never strayed from her childhood city and actually ended up buying her multi-million dollar dream home here a few years back, which we’ll take a look at. For those of you who don’t stay up to date with American Idol, it might surprise you to know that despite blowing everyone out of the park with her unbelievable range and incredible voice, Jennifer didn’t actually win the competition. No, that honor went to Fantasia Barrino – which probably has most of us asking ourselves?
But we recently did a house tour on Fantasia if you wanna check that out too. Anyways, not only did Jennifer not place first, she didn’t even place in the top 3! She finished seventh, but her career has blown every other contestant from that season out of the water. She’s gone onto have a stellar singing and performing career, one that is arguably more successful than anyone else in Idol history not named Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson.
But not only has Jennifer never abandoned her ties to the city of Chicago, in 2011 she bought her dream home in the Burr Ridge area of the city for a cool $3 Million.
