DIY Wooden Earrings

In this video I make a few pairs of wooden earrings using padauk, walnut and maple. I first resawed the stock on the bandsaw down to about 3/16" and then using some CA glue tack them down to a squared up piece of stock that I used as a planer sled. After planning all the pieces down to about 1/16" I laminated 3 together giving me a beautiful pattern of different woods. When the laminations dried I put them on the CNC and cut out the shapes. If you don't have a CNC this part can certainly be completed using a scroll saw. After the CNC completed it's paths I cleaned up the hearts using sandpaper, drilled a hole for a hanger wire and connected the parts together.

I used the Inventables X-Carve to cut these earrings.
