DIY Coffered Ceiling

In this video I take you through the steps to build your own simple coffered ceiling that will allow you to completely transform any room you decide to install.

These coffered ceiling beams are all made with 1/2" MDF and assembled using 1" 18G nails and wood glue. They are attached to the ceiling using 2 1/2" screws with fender washers to prevent any pull-throughs in the MDF.

The point of the coffered ceiling was two fold; one to cover the aging sheetrock seams without having to do any overhead sheetrock work. Two, to act as a conduit for the new lighting romax.
