Forced out of Thailand to save my respiratory health

Bangkok Thailand air pollution at above average health risk levels every day for my entire 90 day visit. I thought I'd retire in Thailand but no longer

in this video I landed in Dallas Texas on October 28, 2022 and walked out in the rain to breathe in my first healthy breath of fmresh air since leaving Danang Vietnam

for anyone considering visiting Thailand or moving there for retirement beware these unhealthy air pollution readings which can be obtained daily using the Weather Underground App, or your own choice of air quality

at no time was the air quality better than "moderate" which still carries a warning for sensitive groups ie., prone to asthma or other ailments

average reading for the period between July and October 2022 during my stay was between 140 and 240 which is severe

there are many sources of the air pollution in Thailand including the burning of gas and diesel on the streets - particle pollution from building construction - factory burning - crop and farmland burning - street vendors burning gas - too many causes - not enough remedies

it is worse during and after rain which was a surprise so - that's it for me
no
I am back in Florida where the air is always clean and fresh - especially after rain

please understand this a recommendation for people planning to stay long term where health is a main consideration

I wish all Thai people a happy life and hope this is one day no longer an urgent matter but as of now, today - it is something to be added to your list of considerations

best of luck to all
