'They think they are the world government': Mexico condemns US imperialism
"It is in their nature not to want to give up their so-called 'manifest destiny,'" lamented Andrés Manuel López Obrador in a wide-ranging speech.
"They don't want to change," added the Mexican president, who is in the crosshairs of Washington's regime change machine.
To make matters worse, Mexico is a candidate for BRICS membership and is trying to avoid the old US imperial doctrine known as "Monroe".
Latin America is "no longer the backyard" of the US, warns Beijing

The neoconservative "deep state" is trying to play the human rights card by accusing Mexico of illegal killings and disappearances, torture and inhumane treatment.
And López Obrador recalls the imperial adventures of Napoleon III in Latin America:
"The Empire and the French invasion of Mexico have never been recognized. But there is another fact. You must remember that when the Americans invaded us in 1847, before the French invasion [Abraham] Lincoln opposed the American invasion of Mexico.
"And it also cost him his life."
'It takes a lot of work': Bolton admits he has fomented coups around the world.
