Finally, I made a pit stop at Felsenmeer. Not really sure what is happening in this area but there are tons of rock piles, hiking, and a small cafe for a full day of roaming. The feeling I got from most of the pictures was this was some kind of old quarry area and these were leftover rocks, but I'm unsure. One thing for certain is this is the start of some intense hiking in the area and you could probably spend all day in the woods around here!
