In this video, Attorney Steve® the Copyright Lawyer, discusses one Torrent case from Oregon Federal court involving Cobbler Nevada. In the case, Defendant filed an F.R.C.P. Rule 12(b)(6) motion to dismiss. Once he was successful, and after being named on the lawsuit, he sought his attorney fees. The federal court judge recommended over $17,000 be awarded. This case provides some hope for Defendants who are named in "John Doe" lawsuits involving claims of alleged copyright infringement for online movie downloads.
