In this exciting episode of Litigation Whiteboard® Attorney Steve® discusses Breaking IP News in BitTorrent Litigation. We are seeing a new strategy from Strike 3 Holdings, LLC, a prolific filer of copyright infringement lawsuits in States like California, New York and elsewhere. Their lawsuits allege infringements of their copyrights. Traditionally, they have been filing many lawsuits, for example in the Northern and Central districts of California (federal courts where copyright infringement claims can be filed). Now, however, we see them filing “Bill of Discovery” actions in Miami-Dade County Court seeking to unmask (or reveal) an internet subscribers name and address so that they can investigate their alleged infringement claims, for the apparent purpose of seeking monetary settlements.

Our firm has been in the “torrent trenches” fighting companies like Strike Three and Malibu Media for a long time. We represent California and Arizona clients who are being sued by Strike 3 and Malibu.

This is very serious and you should share this video on your networks to spread the word, and tell your friends and kids not to share their adult movies (including Tushy, Vixen, and Blacked) online via the BitTorrent file sharing protocol. We have seen legal demands as high as $50,000 and they will have very little mercy on you. This could cause you SIGNIFICANT financial setback.
