In this exciting episode of Litigation Whiteboard® Attorney Steve® discusses the United States International Trade Commission ("ITC") located in Washington D.C. and their ITC section 337 proceedings.

These are basically administrative proceedings held before the "quasi-judicial" trade association. The Administrative Procedures Act (similar to the FRCP in Federal Court) are used. These are expedited (what some call "rocket docket") hearing that can lead to cease and desist order or exclusion order that the US Borders and Customs Protection will enforce to prevent any further distribution, marketing or sales of goods that infringe on the copyright, trademark, patents, or trade secret of a party.
