Attorney Steve® tackles the future of the Supreme Court of the United States and the qualifications necessary to become a great lawyer, judge, and member of the legal community. You will hear my Top 8 (er, I mean 7) characteristics that I believe make for a great Supreme Court nomination. President Trump has recently nominated former Scalia law clerk Amy Coney Barrett to become the next Supreme Court Justice to replace the magnificent Women's rights champion Ruth Bader Ginsburg who recently passed away.

The things we will discuss include:

1. What is the meaning of "Lady Justice"?
2. The importance of being a "master of law" (both procedurally and substantive)
3. The importance of being a good listener
4. Impartiality / non-partisanship
5. What it means to be "thoughtful and deliberative"
6. The willingness to dissent
7. "People person" and why that is important
8. Public confidence

I wrote down first what I THOUGHT WAS IMPORTANT in a future Supreme Court Justice. Then, I reviewed what the American Bar Association ("ABA") had to say givingJudge Barrett their highest rating of "well-qualified."
