In this video, Attorney Steve® explains the legal concept of "strict liability." This essential means there are some cases in the law where a person can be held liable for personal and property damage even though they had no "intent" to commit - let's say a tort - or a legal violation, yet an injury occurred nevertheless. Also, even if you are not "negligent."

Typical categories can include escape of a wild animal that causes injury due to its dangerous propensities, (ex. tiger and lion attacks), strict products liability (ex. a defective product unreasonably dangerous - ex. an exploding can), copyright infringement, regulatory offenses (ex, traffic, food safety laws).
