Attorney Steve®, Intellectual property & infringement defense lawyer, discusses an overview of Boxing Piracy cases involving Innovative Sports Management, dba Integrated Sports Media. We call these “boxing piracy cases,” and many times involve the following:

1. Not having a commercial license to broadcast the fight at your commercial establishment (sports bar, nightclub, restaurant, hookah bar, tattoo parlor, etc.)
2. Broadcasting the fight to customers and clients inside
3. There may be increased drink premiums
4. There may be cover charges
5. The infringement may have been detected by private investigators posing as customers

Settlement amounts can vary from $5,000 to $25,000 or more, depending upon the case. There may be some breaks for financial hardship or purely innocent infringements.
