Federal dollars have been accepted for these projects through 2029. To date: Hwy 41 construction cost 100M-102M; 37.2 million has been authorized for purchasing land off Hwy 53 for interchanges and new neighborhoods (derived from computer models projecting growth based off of consensuses coming from different goverment agencies); and
It will cost over a billion dollars to build a brand new Traffic Management Center adding an array of new surveylence cameras which are to be run off fiber optics which suggests more extensive usage than “managing congestion” and “safety” concerns. Common sense tells us that citizens report objects on the road, accidents, and other obstructions via calling 911 long before the surveylence cameras see and report them. We do not need to be surveyed.

The project proposal for the TMCF expansion will come out in August 2023 to present to the KMPO Board for approval. We have this much time to educate the KMPO Board and other elected officials about the dangers of S.M.A.R.T., and the violation of the 4th Amendment.
