Humans have an obsession with bad news, be it on primetime television, in newspapers, on Twitter, or whilst gossiping with their friends - but they only ever take what they want to take from what is being said, and they often reach for some form of retaliatory good news to counterbalance any unnerving sentiments that may have been brought to the fore by any information that they may have received.
