Over 100 firefighters battled an enormous blaze that tore through a New Jersey church Monday and left vast plumes of smoke seen for miles around.

The fire erupted at 18:00 local time (22:00 GMT) at the Fountain of Life Center in Florence Township, with emergency responders still attempting to save an adjoining school building hours later.

Although reports indicated no injuries, the cause remains unknown
