The Problem with Clover Food Plots

Clover food plots are great in the spring and fall, but, in the late winter, they don't provide much forage. The best way to have feed available in the early spring, when deer are really hungry is to stockpile some cereal grains, especially winter wheat and keep if from them for this time of year with fencing. Another way is to do some TSI or logging so they can get at the buds. Better yet, do some small clearcuts to develop browse.
