Hey folks from Canal do Surf, how are you doing? Today I bring some hot news from the World Surf League (WSL)! The 2023 Challenger Series calendar has been announced and will consist of six stages in five countries. And you know what the big news is? The season will end here in Brazil, at the Corona Saquarema Pro, on Itaúna Beach, in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro. That's right! And the best part is that all events will be broadcast live on WorldSurfLeague.com.

The Challenger Series will qualify 10 men and 5 women to complete the WSL Championship Tour elite in 2024. The rankings will only consider each athlete's four best results in the six stages. And attention, folks! This year, the number of participants has been reduced to take advantage of the swell cycles within the event period, so that the competition always takes place under the best wave conditions of each beach.
