House GOP targets Manhattan DA in Trump probe

Reports of an impending indictment of former President Donald Trump have prompted House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and other senior GOP leaders to plan to request testimony from members of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.

There are discussions among Republicans to send letters requesting employees of the Manhattan DA’s office to provide sworn testimony, as per a GOP official familiar with the matter, Politico is reporting.

The potential request arises from speculation about the sudden revival of the hush-money case, which had been put on hold by state and federal prosecutors.
