American Democracy Ain't That Bad.

Some of the criticism of USA's democratic institutions is overheated. They say our politicians don't represent the people because of things like gerrymandering or term limits. Our politicians are just tools of the parties or the corrupt elite.
That's overstating the case. Our institutions may not be lovely, but their flaws aren't deep. Solving our problems doesn't mean changing the system it means changing hearts and minds.
