After being charged with a list of gang related crimes, Sonny found himself in prison facing 36 to life. At one point he was even threatened with the Death Penalty.
After a sentence modification, he was handed 16 years, in which he served 8 before being released.
Sonny admits how lucky he is to ever been able to walk out those doors.
Once back on the street, he realized that he got a second chance at life an he wasn’t gonna blow it.
Sonny will always be from the neighbourhood. That gives him the opportunity to talk to the youth in the area. Using himself as an example that there’s more to life than bangin and these streets.
