With 68% of Canadian Millennials stating that owning a home is important to them, yet close to 35% of young Canadian adults aged 20-34 are still living at home with one parent, it begs the question…how can you as a parent help your children be able to afford real estate of their own?

In this video, Surrey Real Estate Specialist, Steve Karrasch of Macdonald Realty discusses the concern and looming question that many Canadian parents have right now for their children — how will my kids ever afford to purchase a home in Canada? And while his suggested solution or remedy to this question may not be a popular one, it is most definitely something you should consider if you have adult aged children living at home with you.
