Psalm 22 / Matthew 27

Is the Psalm just a lament of a lonely soul who felt that God had forsaken him, or a prophecy of the crucifixion of Jesus?
Why did Jesus quote this Psalm when He said, ‘My God why have you forsaken me?’ from the cross?
Is the Christian translation of Psalm 22.16 ‘they pierced my hands and feet’ a fix or does it make sense of the text, backed by ancient manuscripts?
What are the nine specific prophecies about the crucifixion contained in Psalm 22?
Does the second half of the Psalm speak about the spread of the Gospel message around the earth?
