Michael Jackson's Favorite Ride | Disney World - Animal Kingdom | Kali River Rapids | Sep 14, 2019

While visiting Disney World we always bring along A Dawn's Wheelchair since her muscles cannot handle a full day of walking the park and standing in lines. Having the wheelchair means that you occasionally will get onto a ride slightly faster or in a different way.

Kali River Rapids is one of those rides. If you know the loading area for Kali River Rapids then you are aware of the moving platform that you must load from into the ride vehicle. If you are unable to make this transition the Cast Members will bring you over to a separate loading area that has a stationary ride vehicle.

After loading we were informed that this is also the VIP loading dock that is used for Celebrities as well. In fact just recently Bindi Irwin and her Fiance had visited. We were also informed that Kali River Rapids was one of Michael Jackson's Favorite rides at Animal Kingdom. He would put on a poncho and ride like 20 times in a row. We were also told that if you look at the Canoe in the ride queue they have a painting of Michael on one of them. Next time through we will have to try and spot it.
