Sports Documentary: The Baseball Life of John Olerud
John Olerud is a retired major league baseball player from Seattle, WA. I became aware of him as he debuted with the Blue Jays in September 1989. My admiration grew quickly. I enjoyed his quiet persona and focused approach. He became one of my all-time favorite Blue Jays.
I set out to make a 10-12 minute story about Olerud. But the deeper I dug the further I wanted to go. 10 minutes turned to 20. 20 turned to 30. It became a labor of love. This is the finished product. Watch it if you enjoy John Olerud (from any stage of his career).
Please note: John Olerud is not associated with this "documentary". I do not speak for him or his family. This documentary was created for my own enjoyment. It's my retelling of his story created over 200 hours of research, writing and editing.
I hope you enjoy.
