Fishing the Tar River under the freeway [w/@bananaz4701 ]

Took a private off-road trail to a Tar River fishing spot, there were definitely fish in there, but none of them spent too much time with our worms.

Initially, it was just good to be there in nature with fresh air and sunshine. We got excited when we started seeing fish jump, but that excitement didn’t amount to catching any fish unfortunately. I believe we both got a bite though. We tried for a while in the first spot, then moved a bit down river away from the freeway noise.

The next spot was nice looking. It has a turn in the current where a creek was (re-)joining the Tar River. Bobber tried to swirl but only ended up about 270 degrees which makes sense. Didn’t need to cast too many times. Ended up realizing we didn’t have their fancy and mostly hung out while it got dark.

Finally we ended up showing part of the drive home. Thanks for watching everyone!
